A large part of our environmental impact occurs before our products reach customers, especially in the production of materials and manufacturing. This includes greenhouse gas emissions, use of water and energy, and environmental impacts from chemicals. We therefore work with suppliers and partners to improve how products are produced and transported.
We have set a clear climate target to reduce total greenhouse gas emissions by 50% by 2030 compared to 2020. This target covers both our own operations and our value chain. Most of the reductions are expected to come from improvements in production, materials and transport. In 2025, total emissions amounted to approximately 102,000 tCO₂e, representing a reduction of 24% compared to the 2020 baseline.
To reduce environmental impact, we mainly focus on four areas:
- using energy more efficiently in our operations
- increasing the use of renewable energy
- reducing emissions from transport
- increasing the share of products made with materials and processes that have lower environmental impact
These actions are part of our transition plan and are followed up regularly to track progress.
In our own operations in Borås, energy use represents a smaller share of our total impact. Most electricity and heating is sourced from renewable energy, but emissions still occur from sources such as company cars and refrigerants.
We aim to be transparent about both progress and challenges. Some environmental impacts, such as emissions linked to product use and end-of-life, are not yet fully measured due to limited data. Currently, Scope 3 Category 2,11 and 12 are not included in our climate calculations due to lack of reliable data, but our aim is to update our reporting to include these categories in 2026. Improving data quality and traceability is therefore an important part of our ongoing work.
