We take the sustainability aspect into account already on design level for our in-house product range. We do not manufacture the products ourselves, but collaborate with local purchase offices and agents. Our Code of Conduct is based on the French standard ICS (Initiative Clause Social) which is equivalent to programs such as BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative). It follows international labour standards, including the ILO (International Labour Organization) and UN guidelines for business and human rights.
Our requirements in terms of working conditions are clearly stipulated in the Code of Conduct – which is signed by each new supplier. The Code of Conduct includes our standpoint when it comes to; child labor, forced labor, discrimination, freedom of association, wages and benefits, environment, health and safety. Our main agent Global Sustainable Sourcing (GSS) conducts regular audits and inspections. For merchandise bought through other suppliers we use Bureau Veritas to perform audits and inspections at large part of the supplier base. The ambition is to increase the rate in the follow-up work.
Our main sourcing markets are China, Bangladesh and India.
